JOB DESCRIPTION:
Looking to pay 90-100K annually- Would consider going higher for the absolute right candidate. Will not pay more than 120K annually. The qualified candidate must be able to work independently with little supervision, given direction, as well as together with a team across the United States. This person will be the only person in L.A. Must be able to take lead and will be responsible for national projects as well. Much user interaction at all levels is guaranteed. Off hours work for testing, production changes and support is required.
General Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent but would look at someone with excellent skill level and exp. with Citrix over college degree.
8 or more years of related experience. Must be extremely experienced with Citrix, not looking for just a "network guy".
Technical Skills:
Significant technical qualifications and detailed understanding of
operation of Windows Terminal Server / Citrix / Intel server environments is required. Experience running a distributed Citrix environment in a multi-farm, multi-location, multi-thousand user environment is required.
Significant technical qualifications and detailed understanding of engineering, architecture design, and operations of a multi-location Windows Terminal Server environment. Knowledge of IBM hardware and knowledge and experience with VMWare is a plus.
Must possess the ability to learn and adapt to cutting edge technology and be able to determine the best use of new vs. older technologies and integrate various technologies to form the most cost-effective and practical business solution for a business unit and/or the Zurich/Farmers enterprise.
Must be able to understand distributed architecture and lead technical projects and help drive decisions for new applications in a server-based computing environment.
Must handle day-to-day problem tickets, assist other teammates in technical decision making, support current business applications, including profeciency in Lotus Notes and keep the Citrix server farms available in a
24 x 7 x 365 environment.
The ability to create scripts and/or use Microsoft and Citrix tools and techniques to proactively manage the Citrix environments is preferred.
Must be able to multitask large projects, small maintenance requests and daily problems with limited supervision; manage multiple conflicting priorities to successfully deliver on targeted deadlines while maintaining corporate Service Levels for customers.
