Microsoft invited Stone Bond Technologies to participate in the SharePoint 2010 TAP Program, because we enable SharePoint to have ‘codeless’ / ‘out of the box’ integration with ANY application and/or database (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Lawson, Salesforce.com, SCADA, Mainframe ...). Reporting to the VP of PD&T, & within a Communications function, the SharePoint Business Analyst will advise PD&T on the basic & extended capabilities of SharePoint 2007. This role will partner with our I.T. Department to drive forward Intranet initiatives. (basic and extended capabilities are already known, need to focus on cultural messaging, content, marketing etc)
Responsibilities
Remain up to date on Microsoft SharePoint functionality and provide strategy & guidance to the PD&T department on the best application of this functionality in alignment with the business needs.
Oversee and contribute to the creation of the Corporate Intranet Governance policy as it relates to content, acceptable use and training while working closely with IT regarding technical configuration and governance considerations.
Oversee the creation and delivery of content for the corporate office to ensure that the site is a strong employee communication vehicle and portal for productivity within the company.
In addition, the incumbent will also work closely with the IT technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new development.
Identify training and support needs for content owners, site administrators and content providers across the organization.
Monitor usage metrics and generate regular reports to present to the executive team and other stakeholders within the company along with marketing strategies to increase use.
Report any technical problems that occur to the IT team and assist in troubleshooting/testing.
Position requires ability to travel globally.
Map solutions within SharePoint following existing governance models .
Requirements
- Configuration and implementation experience on enterprise initiatives.
- A solid understanding of business workflows and capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, and/or SharePoint Designer 2007.
- Knowledge in multiple areas (e.g. Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence).
- Experience with SharePoint Master Templates, Style Sheets, and Security.
