Position Purpose:
This role is a Senior Web Developer / Automation Engineer in NY, also supporting other remote sites in the USA.

Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for design and development of internal ASP.NET web applications
Involved in all development cycles including graphics design, front-end and back-end development, database
design and development
Responsible for supporting existing web applications
Involved in development of custom automated solutions using .NET framework

SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE

• Must be familiar with Windows Server / Desktop technologies
• Working knowledge of IIS 6, IIS 7 is required
• Must be able to develop cross-browser Web applications that can be used with all major web browsers
• Mobile application development is a plus
• Must be familiar with Active Directory LDAP interfaces. Must be able to develop Web applications for Active
Directory Automation
• Must be able to develop for complex, cross-domain authentication environments spanning across multiple
Active Directory forests and other LDAP authentication mechanisms
• Some understanding of Kerberos authentication is required
• SQL and relational databases. SQL Server, Sybase, LINQ, ODBC
• Must be able to develop client-side dynamic grids, drill down reports, dynamic filters
• Must be able to developed Web-Parts portals that enable end users to modify content, appearance, and
behavior of Web pages directly in a browser
• Well versed in object oriented design and methodologies, design patterns, data structures and algorithms
• Must be able to develop clean, natural flow, HTML.
• Must be able to develop expert, object oriented, client side JavaScript
• Must be familiar with scripting management interfaces: WMI, ADSI, ADO, TSQL
• Need to understand Windows automation principles

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be familiar with project management and time management techniques
• Need to be able to define and meet goals and milestones

Position Summary
The Developer will primarily focus on the Research instance of Microsoft Office SharePoint. SharePoint is tied to the core Research Authoring platform for workflow management. The successful candidate for the SharePoint Administrator position will be an expert in SharePoint 2007
administration using Central Admin and STSADM, the SharePoint Administrator, will have responsibility for the
security, configuration, maintenance, and development of company SharePoint Sites and Content Management.
This person will work with internal clients and IT to create and implement systems needed for workflow and
document management.


Responsibilities:

Develop and support Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and 2010.
Design, develop, and maintain Intranet / Extranet applications.
Work on problems of diverse scope seeing and planning for long-range implications
Build, document and support scalable, highly available and secure SharePoint and Content Management
environment that meets enterprise requirements.
Create, manage and configure technical infrastructure of the SharePoint environment.
Maintain Metadata, search scopes, keywords, synonyms, and best bets.
Work with internal customers as requested to develop SharePoint and Content Management solutions that
address business requirements.
Develop and implement appropriate controls consistent with business requirements (data retention, business
continuity, permissions, etc).
Develop and document best practices for managing SharePoint environments.
Troubleshoot performance issues and performs backup/recovery, and modifications to SharePoint platform.
Provide knowledge transfer to internal customers by conducting training sessions, writing documentation as
required.


Technical Skills:

Experience administering MS Office SharePoint Server 2007.
Proficient with SharePoint Designer.
Manages Site Columns, Content Types, Lists, Libraries, Authorizations, Sites, Search, Workflows, Custom
Pages, Web Parts, InfoPath Forms etc.
Implement and maintain audiences, role-based permissions and taxonomies.
Create documentation, design code-reviews, build and tests high quality solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for requirements gathering and change management.
Design, develop and test applications to automate and streamline business processes.
Coordinate with network engineering, business applications and DBAs.
Manage SharePoint Servers and Databases.
Coordinate and perform backups and restores of SharePoint sites as needed.
Develop, document and maintain maintenance plans.

Must have 2+ years of experience and knowledge in SharePoint Server 2007 administration and design.
Experience with security administration, web parts, templates, forms, content types, and workflows.
Ability to design and implement custom web parts and applications.
Experience in SharePoint server Management, support and troubleshooting.
