BASIC PURPOSE OF ROLE Technical Lead, working as part of a team on the development of key product components with the ability to provide technical support, guidance and mentoring to the other engineers within the team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analyse system requirements based around the current architecture and communicate the tradeoffs. Work with project manager to specify work packages and estimate effort Work with Architect and principal engineer to manage the technical delivery of work Share technical expertise with colleagues Act as a mentor to other team members Contribute to future requirements and design of the core architecture Implement OO designs in line with coding standards SKILLS REQUIRED Expert knowledge and programming experience in C++ Strong OO design abilities Thorough understanding of leading-edge software design and product development processes.
