Brief description of role:
Long term contract to possible hire engagement - 6 months+
Salary for perm can be well into 6 figures and is negotiable with a 0 - 30% performance bonus.
In this position, you will be part of the core development team working on the front-end client of a real-time trading application. You will act as a key team member in taking features at the design wireframe stage and converting them to production code. You will be working alongside a team of other talented C# and front end developers with real-world UI experience. The right candidate must have excellent C# and front end development skills and a passion for creating world-class software.
Required Skills
BS in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience in object-oriented design and development (OOP).
Exceptional C# and front end development skills (e.g. WinForms/WPF) with at-least 2 years of industry experience developing high-frequency client software in C# .NET 2.0 & 3.5.
Demonstrated expertise developing complex thick-client GUIs starting from concept through the entire development lifecycle.
Experience in TDD (Test Driven Development) / Unit Test.
Passion for creating superb software architecture.
Excellent grasp of software engineering principles including development and release lifecycle processes.
Ability to learn a new industry and technology quickly.
The following skills are a plus
Experience in Agile Methodologies (e.g. SCRUM).
Experience in developing high-frequency WPF application(s).
Knowledge of Design Patterns (e.g. GoF / HeadFirst)
Knowledge of UI Automation testing.
Knowledge of 3rd party Grid and Dock Layout components such as DevXpress.
Knowledge of open-source frameworks such as Nunit, RhinoMock, Unity, Spring .NET
