The candidate that knows it all doesn’t exist – we get it. But, the right candidate will be excited about the opportunity to get their fingers in as much as possible. The Sr. Developer will have a workload that balances heads-down production with client-facing liaison activities.

Heads-down: The Sr. Developer will be an expert coder in one or multiple languages and technologies noted above. We need help across the board, so tell us about your weapon of choice. The Sr. Developer will also be responsible for assisting with initial architectures and allocating resource needs for a project.

Client-facing: The Sr. Developer will ultimately be comfortable guiding clients and project managers through complex technical architecture. As a liaison, the Sr. Developer will have the ability to ramp up quickly on defining high-level requirements for most of the technologies defined above.

Sr. Developer (Microsoft-focused) competencies – Three or more years experience coding interactive and/or database applications – Patience to guide the ‘technically-challenged’ through complex concepts – Desire to move from one platform to the next, and tinker with virgin technologies – Strong communication skills, ability to confidently convey technology vision

Lead Developer, Municipal Markets IT

Position Purpose:

Works as a technical lead for the application team supporting Municipal Markets within the Fixed Income Business of BANK Capital Markets.  Accountable to manage and successfully develop technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs while demonstrating high levels of quality and productivity. Participate in solution design, development, deployment and support of applications within Fixed Income.

Key Accountabilities:

• Participate in design, development, testing, packaging, and deployment of  applications

• Highly hands-on in Microsoft technologies.

• Partner with other BANK CM technology teams to deliver robust and scalable application.

• Validate overall application design and ensure all new solutions are scalable and yield to high architectural standards

• Work closely with QA team to ensure high quality of the product

• Play key role in all aspects of systems development.

• Establish ‘best practices’ within a development team to make them more productive and efficient

• Directs development of technology application solutions to reflect and support critical business processes and strategic plans.

• Raise and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves project issues and escalate when required.

• Mentor and assist junior team members through project execution and delivery

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):

Leadership and Strategic Thinking

• Able to build strong relationships within IT and with business/functions supported, directly contributing to meeting project deliverables

• Ability to provide technical leadership to the application team and mentoring other developers.



Technical Skills

• Extensive experience developing, maintaining, deploying, and supporting applications under windows platform.

• Extensive experience building web applications using ASP .Net, C# and other related Microsoft technologies.

• Expert level experience with object oriented languages (C#).

• Extensive experience in database design and development (SQL Server 2005), SQL Reporting.

• Experience with application integration technologies – TIBCO EMS messaging, web services.

• Experience in building rich user interface under web environment.

• Experience with processing large data volumes and managing data centric applications.

• Experience with data integration across multiple systems

• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence product suite   SSIS, SSAS.



Business Knowledge

• Understanding of fixed income markets and fixed income securities.
