Summary:
This position is responsible for technical leadership, architecture, and hand-on development for enterprise web-based systems and knowledge management solutions using primarily MOSS 2007, Microsoft technologies and web development tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design, development and delivery of global enterprise-level applications centered in knowledge management and shared services applications.  Platforms include document and content management, collaboration, custom web interfaces, and integration with key business systems and corporate SQL Server data warehouses
Provide hands-on development expertise for enterprise web-based applications using SharePoint and .NET technologies.
Contribute to the delivery of core corporate systems that provide enterprise solutions to multiple lines of businesses
Develop well-engineered, supportable technology solutions that meets the needs of the global users, Business, IT and integrates well with the existing overall architectural standards in the company.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Must be self-motivated and can manage tasks and priorities with efficiency.
Must be able to contribute to project planning efforts and function specification efforts.

Qualifications:

5+ Years of Information Systems/Technology experience.
At least 2 years experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007.  Must be able to create, customize, configure and manage SharePoint sites.  Expert knowledge of MOSS 2007 preferred.
At least 4 years experience in .NET Framework 2.0/3.x, XML and the C# language.
At least 4 years experience in SQL Server 2005 and T-SQL language
Microsoft Office Suite Expertise. Integration with enterprise systems and overall architectural standards.
Prior Insurance/Reinsurance or other regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work in a shared service model and yet integrate with a decentralized model.
Should have strong documentation skills and understanding Software Development Lifecycle best practices.
Excellent communication presentation and organization skills with ability to communicate effectively across multiple IT team disciplines.

SharePoint Developer/Administrator In White plains, NY

The SharePoint Operational Administrator needs to acquire knowledge of the SharePoint farm architecture and installation process and be capable of rebuilding the farm quickly. They need to become familiar with all the functionality of the “Central Administration” web application and the STSADM.EXE commands (some functionality is only available in STSADM) as well as the Search service (managed properties, content sources, crawling, etc.) and how it interfaces with the imported Profiles.


Should also have a broad knowledge of Windows networking and authentication, particularly Kerberos



· Should monitor the Event Viewer and SharePoint logs for errors and be prepared to troubleshoot any problems.



· Check search crawl logs.



· Understand SharePoint security and web application/site collection/subsite structure well and understand the problematic issues related to these features.



· Experience with MOSS 2007 sites



· Provide strategic guidance on best practices for utilizing its functionality.



· Understand using InfoPath and SharePoint Designer



· Experience SQL Server and Oracle connectivity



· Must have the ability to work independently within a small team and follow through on tasks



· Independently troubleshoot and research challenging problems





· Work with end users and manage requirements.







Skill Requirements



3-5+ years technical SharePoint experience.

1-2+ year’s technical live link experience.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on tasks

Proficient with Windows Server 2003\2008
