CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS +

Responsibilities:
* Drives any project architecture from vision to working systems by working with senior level executives, project managers, business analysts, developers and other members from cross functional teams.
* Identifies risks in a given project, monitors critical paths and provides mitigation options.
* Develops and implements integrated IT solutions, assessed by benefit, risks and costs that support business strategies.
* Works with the business leaders to create conceptual architectures that align with company objectives by considering and presenting different alternatives.
* Materializes the conceptual architecture to set up the right environment for the development team.
* Leads team of developers and members from cross-functional teams to Client the desired architecture.
* Mentors the development team through code reviews and architecture sessions.
* Applies well-established patterns and best practices to system level design.
* Selects technology and approaches based on the capabilities of the current development team.
* Hires developers for different project teams.
* Communicates technical vision and roadmaps with no supervision.
* Builds and maintains high profile as a technology leader both inside and outside of the firm.
* Establishes and maintains working relationship with all groups across the organization
* Collaborates closely with different functional groups to ensure project architectures adhere to the strategic objectives of the company.
Qualifications
* Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science
* 5+ years of solutions architecture experience leading enterprise scale application architecture and infrastructure projects.
* 8 + Software architecture experience in .NET
* Prior experience in designing public facing large, web-based applications.
* Track record of designing multi-tiered systems.
* Use of following UI technologies in previously designed systems; CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, JQuery, MVC
* Use of the following technologies in previously designed systems: Remoting, WCF, Web Services
* Proven track record of leading multiple teams with a working knowledge of Asset, Configuration and Infrastructure management.
* Requires expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
* Application of best practices and patterns in Enterprise System Design and Integration.
* Experience in making build vs. buy decisions.
* Ability to manage and execute through influence in addition to management through direct line accountability and operate effectively in a matrix organization.
* A collaborative style and ability to build the appropriate relationships and partnerships across the firm.
