POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Developer role requires strong knowledge of internet technologies and languages. The candidate should have an understanding of all phases of the systems development life cycle and use of object oriented software development methodology.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The senior developer role partners closely with the business, IT community, and software vendors to develop efficient and effective business systems solutions to support Strategic Vision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Proven experience as a Sr. Developer with internet technology technical skills such as Visual Studio.net, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, ASP.net, ADO.NET, JAVA, JSP, Web Services, XML, XSL, XSLT, XSD, SOAP, J2EE, EJB, DB2
· Possess skills in the following languages: C#, Visual Basic, Java
· Passion for innovating new approaches for delivering efficient enterprise business solutions.
· Desire and ability to own responsibility for critical deliverables and produce timely and high quality work.
· Excellent communication and team collaboration skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Ensure that documentation for systems environment, procedures and processes associated with production IT systems is complete.
· Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· BS in Computer Science or related technical studies.
· Minimum 5 years experience in C#, Java, and .NET development.
· Experience with a SQL based Database including Database design.
· Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
· Strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple areas of responsibilities.
· Proactive, customer-focused with a passion for Web and emerging technologies.
The client lost a Fulltime employee and is replacing this person with a consultant. They are in a crunch they have 6wks to rampup and move project into production support. They need the developer to help the other fulltime resource that they have onsite to help with UI Changes, SSRS, and Report Development.
