Position Description
Experienced Applications Architect/.NET Developer to develop WEB applications using .NET and Microsoft technologies
Responsibilities
- Write WEB applications using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008 and manage source-code using Team Foundation Server
- Create and consume WEB services for delivery of information
- Develop and present necessary system documentation, such as technical architecture, design plans and deployment plans
- Work with multiple teams including Database Administrators, Application Developers, Portal Administrators, and Project Management
- Develop quality control and test plan scenarios
- Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions
- Work closely with Technical Development Lead and Project Manager to ensure quality, timely system delivery and adherence to all project reporting and requirements
- Mentor in-house developers to provide expertise on best-practice approaches to implement specific technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008 development
- Minimum 5 years experience with strong .NET development (VB.NET/ASP.NET)
- Minimum 5 years experience with MS-SQL writing stored procedures and database schema design
- Strong experience developing WEB services
- Proven experience using SQL Server, with ability to write stored procedures, user defined functions & SQL queries; Knowledge of relational database design
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server, SQL Server Enterprise Manager/Query Analyzer, Visual Source Safe
- Reporting Services experience is preferred
- Experience creating applications reports using Reporting Services in the .Net environment is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
