Technical Lead-Senior .Net GUI Developer Jersey City, NJ or New York, NY
(Must have financial services, banking, or hedge fund experience)
This is a position within Prime Brokerage for development on a suite of applications used by internal and external clients. Most of the applications are browser-based ASP.NET Ajax (C#) applications.
Must have extensive experience building advanced GUI's using the aforementioned technology.
The application displays data from a number of backend systems (connect via web services), in many cases, the data to be displayed is large. Performance, stability, and a deep understanding of building thin-clients in .Net is required.
Primary responsibility is to build out the application, ensuring delivery on business needs. In addition, participation with larger architecture and design groups will be required. Resource must be able to guide/mentor junior developers and partner well with other technology teams.
· Four year bachelors degree or the international equivalent in Computer Science or related field or the equivalent experience.
· Minimum 7 years of end-to-end software development experience building browser-based GUI applications (ASP) on the .NET framework.
· Minimum 7 years experience with C# development. The current application was built on this framework (.NET 2.0) in C# and also uses MS AJAX.
· Minimum 7 years experience working on large-scale, global projects with multiple systems integration points.
· Minimum 7 years of end to end full SDLC development., more than 10 years is preferred.
· Minimum 5 years of experience leading projects from inception to post-implementation support.
· Previous experience with Telerik Ajax, strong architecture, design and MS infrastructure (IIS, load balancing, etc.) knowledge as it applies to .NET GUI development.
· Understanding databases and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase)
· General understanding of Java and Linux/Unix environments
· Solid communication skills is also required.
· Some Project Management experience
· Experience working on large-scale, global projects with multiple systems integration points
· Financial services experience/Prime Brokerage
