Global online multi-brand retailer is seeking a web developer
Candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
· developing and maintaining the front-end layer of company websites · programming elements in Flash and HTML/CSS/JavaScript · leveraging the company API for building new solutions and web applications · assisting in designing and developing store interfaces, functions and services · creating wireframes and writing functional and technical specifications Requirements
The ideal candidate proactive and attentive to detail, with at least two years’ experience in a similar position in a web agency or as a freelancer.
Other requirements include:
· experience with Adobe Flash CS4/CS5 for creating Flash elements in ActionScript 3.0 linked to data in XML · knowledge of XHTML, CSS, XML/XSL and JavaScript frameworks (JQuery) · knowledge of best practices in UI design · ability to access a REST API from the presentation layer (Flash and Javascript) · ability to address scalability/performance issues in the presentation layer of a complex and heavily accessed web application · willingness to learn new technologies and languages The following skills will be considered a plus:
· experience in web project management activities · experience in developing web and native applications for iPhone/iPad · OO programming knowledge (esp. C#) and familiarity with pattern-based programming · knowledge of MXML (Flex) · HTML5 for videos
